The method of prolonging the service life of electric heating tube

It can be said that the service life of the electric heating tube has always been a question point for customer care. Usually, the lifespan of the electric heating tube actually reflects the quality of the heating tube. According to the national standard, it can usually be replaced within 6 months, that is to say, 6 months is its safe life cycle, and the electric heating tube only needs If used properly, the life expectancy can be more than 1 year or even longer. However, if it is used improperly, the service life of the electric heating tube will be shortened.

How to extend the service life of the electric heating tube, colleagues in the company's research and development department put forward several suggestions, hoping to help us:

1. The electric heating tube should be stored in a dry warehouse. If the surface is damp due to long-term storage, use a megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance. If it is less than 1 megohm/500 volts, the electric heating tube should be placed in a drying box of 200 degrees for drying.​​

2. The electric heating pipe has been used for a long time. If the surface collects thick pipe scale and oil scale, it should be removed regularly, otherwise the heat transfer performance of the electric heating pipe will be reduced and the heat load on the surface of the pipe will exceed the extra allowance and be damaged.

3. Special attention should be paid to the heating medium when selecting electric heating tubes. There should be no erosion effect on the electric heating tube material.​​

4. Some of the electric heating tubes should be fully immersed in the heating medium to prevent unpleasant heat generation beyond the allowed heating temperature and damage to the electric heating tubes. In addition, some of the wiring should be exposed to the insulation layer of the heater or outside the heater, so that some of them should not be damaged by overheating.​​

5. Use 2 nuts to relatively fasten the terminals of the electric heating tube when wiring. Do not use excessive force to avoid loosening the lead screws and damage the electric heating tube.​​

6. The voltage of the input power supply of the electric heating tube should not exceed 10% of the additional voltage indicated on the various electric heating tubes. If it is suitable for lower than the additional voltage, the heat generated by the electric heating tube will also be reduced accordingly.
